Itinerary
Arrival at Kochi, meet, receive and transfer to Hotel. Half day sightseeing. Visit Fort Kochi, Chinese fishing nets, Jewish synagogue, mattancherry palace(dutch palace), Marine drive etc and over night stay at hotel. Jewish synagogue will be closed on Friday. Options. (cost not included) Athirapally water falls only 2 Hrs by road. Kothanadu elephant park 2 Hrs sun set cruise at Kochi in Sagara Rani Mini ship
After breakfast transfer to Munnar. Enroute visit Valera water falls, Karadippara View Point. Check in resort. Half day sightseeing of Munnar. Rajamalai national park. Rajamali national park – Entry Fee @ Rs 100 per person. Open all days from 09:00 Hrs to 16:00 Hrs. Closed from 01 Mar to 30 Apr every year. Tea Musieum – Entry fee Rs 100pp. Open all days from 10:00 Hrs to 16:00 Hrs except Monday Mattupetty dam Boating – Rs 1000 upto 5 adults.
After breakfast Munnar sightseeing. Visiting Mattupetti Dam, Echo Point, Kundala Lake, International blossom Park, Pothenmedu sunset view-, Tea museum etc. Other Attractions : Jeep Safari to Kudagumali View Point (cost approx Rs 1500 per person by Jeep) Elephant safari / Kerala martial Art / Kathakali etc Stay in TREE House. (need to book in advance)
Day 3. Munnar – Thekkedy. 120kms 4hrs. After break fast transfer to Thekkady. On the way visit Lockhart Gap View and tea Plantation. Check in at Hotel. Afternoon Kathakali and Kalaripayattu (these are traditional art forms of Kerala. Entry per person @ 250 per show). Options and activities Plantation tour – this will cover private garden where ayurvedic herbs and grown and a guide will explain about different plants, ayurvedic medicine etc. Entry fee 100 per person. Elephant Safari – Private persons are having elephants and one can have elephant safari. It does not go through forest and approximate charges @ 600 per person. Activities by Forest Department – Forest department run several activities like, bamboo rafting, trekking, evening trekking, bird watching etc. All these programmes need adv booking and minimum 2 days stay. Kathakali and Kalaripayattu – Art form and martial art is being organized by private parties and it start around 6pm. Entry fee @ Rs 250 per head. Spice marketing – this is the best place to buy low price coffee / tea / spices etc. Overnight in Hotel.
Departure for Houseboat. Check in Houseboat at 12:00 Hrs. Cruise and sightseeing. Cruise through vembanadu lake. Visit R Block and C Block where paddy cultivated below sea level. Cruise through canals of Alleppey. The boat can stop some of the places and you can walk in the village to see and experience the village life – the best way to experience Alleppey backwaters in Houseboat. Lunch, evening snacks, dinner and breakfast will be provided. Other Attractions : Fishing in the lake and backwaters.
After breakfast departure for Kochi.Shopping at Kochi and drop at Kochi Airport/Rly station. Tour ends.
